The Wisconsin Veterinary Technician Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 1989. The purpose of the WVTA is to:

  • Promote professionalism and ethical behavior of all veterinary technicians
  • Promote continuing educational opportunities
  • Improve and encourage communication among veterinary technicians
  • Inform and represent veterinary technicians in legislative matters
  • Inform the veterinary profession as to the value and benefits derived from employing trained para-professionals
  • Improve and support the development of the veterinary technician vocation
  • Assist in providing the best medical attention available to suffering animals
  • Promote the humane treatment of animals
