New Berlin Animal Hospital is seeking a detail oriented, multi-tasking Certified Veterinary Technician. The position is a part time to full time position. Applicants will possess strong technical skills including dentistry, digital radiographs and digital dental imaging, surgical monitoring and laboratory procedures. Job duties can also incorporate technician appointments (vaccine administration and surgical patient discharges), client education, and laser therapy. Familiarity with exotics is a plus. Experienced Certified Veterinary Technician is preferred, but new graduates will be considered.

Small animal veterinary clinic on Madison’s east side is seeking a friendly and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. Our clinic is a high quality, full service practice that routinely sees dog, cat, exotic, and avian patients. The position plays an integral role in providing excellent care to our patients as well as providing outstanding customer service to our clients.

Veterinary Technician DUTIES

– Client communication- record data on case history, provide basic education on animal care, nutrition, and medical conditions.

– Maintaining medical records and billing information. Scheduling appointments, greeting customers, preparing invoices, answering phones, making follow up calls and referrals. Experience with Infinity is a plus!

– Preparing and labeling medications and prescriptions.

– Blood, fecal, and urine collection

– Lab work- including but not limited to; fecal tests, urinalysis, in house blood-work, cytology preparation and reading.

– Radiography

– Prepare patients for surgery, calculating medication doses, administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections prior to, during and post procedure. Assist, monitor and record data for surgical procedure.

– Restrain and stabilize animals during exam and treatment.

– Administer medications, vaccinations, and perform routine procedures.

– Instruct clients how to administer medications and apply care at home.

– Perform full dental prophylaxis; including full mouth digital radiographs, scaling, polishing, and charting.

Community Outreach Coordinator

As a role model of Lakeshore’s values, this position will uphold best practices and provide technical education expertise to all team members in conjunction with the Training Manager and Director of Marketing and Referrals.  The Community Outreach Coordinator will focus on enhancing educational opportunities for the Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists community including referral clinic staff, clients, veterinary technology students, and the Lakeshore employees.

Additional Community Outreach Coordinator duties will include:

  • Develop and facilitate engaging presentations for topics identified by referring veterinarians.
  • Compile and analyze survey data from lunch and learn program. Based on data compiled, recommend future enhancements to the training program.
  • Design and facilitate Wet Labs for the referral community.
  • Participate in CE Planning Committee meetings and assist in executing events.
  • Maintain and track budget for lunch and learns and community events.
  • Create videos for staff and client education.
  • In partnership with the Training Manager, assist with identifying global training needs and programs for the technical staff at Lakeshore.




  • Minimum of five years of experience as a CVT


  • Veterinary Technician certification required

Skills and Requirements

  • Computer Skills: Intermediate to advanced skills using MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and comfort with public speaking. Ability to influence individuals and groups.

Rockwood Hospital for Pets is seeking a certified veterinary technician for a full or part time position 20-40 hours/week. We are a well equipped small animal exclusive clinic with digital dental radiology, digital radiology, ultrasound and in house IDEXX lab testing. We are a very busy, 2 doctor practice located in Southeastern Wisconsin in the town of Burlington. Hours: Clinic Hours are M,T, TH 8am-7pm, F 8am-5pm, SA 8am-1pm, Closed W and SU. When closing there is an average of an additional 30 minutes of clean up time. Both positions will include some shifts until 7pm and an average of two Saturdays/month. Full Time position would be 36-40 hrs/wk, Part Time position would be 20-30 hours/wk.
