Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists is seeking a Full-time, Client Care Liaison to join our Client Care Specialist team!

Ideal candidates have exceptional communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Tentative schedule: Four-day work week, with rotating weekends. Start times as early as 8 am and end times as late as 8 pm. Totaling 36-40 hours per week. **Schedule is subject to change based on the needs of the hospital** While under the supervision of the Client Care Manager and the Hospital Manager, the CCL must be able to effectively and accurately perform the following duties that include but are not limited to:

• Receive all incoming calls

• Receive and return client and rDVM calls, relay messages to the doctor, and call clients back with doctor response.

• Explain hospital processes and policies, to include appointments and procedures for clients. • Maintain communication with client when patient is recovering at home and on subsequent visits and document information appropriately.

• Call in new prescriptions and refills as needed.

• Facilitate patient discharges and prepare take-home packets for clients.

• Help clients to cope with their pets health condition, euthanasia, or pet loss in a compassionate manner.

• Address client complaints and concerns.

• Help triage phone calls and give appropriate advice for patient care

• Other duties as assigned.

• A minimum of 1-year veterinary assistant or certified veterinary technician experience is required.

The Veterinary Information Specialist position is responsible for responding to incoming cases on Pet Poison Helpline and SafetyCall’s industry side via the telephone, email, and chat applications regarding potential toxic exposures, poisonings and other adverse events from pet owners and veterinarians related to various household and consumer products, animal health products, plants, OTC products, dietary supplements, prescription drugs, and other chemical exposures. Specialists take full histories and details of the events, triage the cases and provide accurate medical, health and safety information to the callers. Specialists document each case in an electronic record and follow up as necessary to ensure the well-being of the animals and facilitate adverse event reporting on the industry side.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hrs/week. Positions do not have a set schedule. Shift times and shift days will vary and include weekends, typically 2 per month and up to 3 during our busy season, and some holidays. At this time available shifts are 8 ½ hours long and are primarily evening shifts (shift start times are ranging from 2pm-6pm CST and shift end times ranging from 10:30pm-2:30amCST).
