Scholarship

WVTA Scholarship Information

Every year the WVTA sponsors a scholarship for a current veterinary technology student.

PURPOSE of the Student Scholarship

The WVTA Veterinary Technician Student Scholarship is intended to reward a student’s early professional development. This may include participation and leadership in any type of the extra-curricular activities that their educational program has to offer. A person’s education is what she or he makes of it and we are looking to recognize a student who has put the added effort into supplementing his or her own education by taking advantage of opportunities on campus and off. A student’s professional development does also include activities outside of school such as employment and volunteer experience.

Student Scholarship Winner receives:

$500

Mentorship from board member of the WVTA

Free admission to all WVTA sponsored continuing education in 2018

CRITERIA for the Student Scholarship

Students eligible for this scholarship must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technician Program and completed at least one semester or two quarters at one of the following institutions: Madison Area Technical College or Globe University in the state of Wisconsin.  Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of their demonstrated commitment to our profession.
